ABEL

I have been trying to reach my brother for the last twenty four hours but no luck. While I waited at his house, I couldn’t help but notice that Mystica wasn’t here. Deciding to put my ears to the ground I found out that she has been MIA for the last two days. This leads me to believe that she has something to do with Cain’s disappearance. So, I decided to go talk to my father to see if he could shed some light on this whole situation.

Having a heart to heart which struck me as odd. My father hates being outdoors. So whatever they are discussing must be something big.

What could be so important that they wouldn’t risk anyone overhearing them? I thought before a light bulb went off in my head. They had something to do with my brother’s disappearance.

Taking off down the stairs and out the door, I made my way towards my father.

“Have you heard from Cain?” I asked as I made it to my father as my grandfather was walking away.

“No,” he simply replied.

“And what about your future wife?” I quickly responded.

“What about her?”

“Where is she?” I asked quickly getting pissed off about his I don’t care attitude.

“She is in her skin,” he replied turning to walk away.

“If I find out that she has anything to do with my brother missing…”

“You’re going to what…go crying to Kevin about it? Abel I raised you better than that. If you think Mystica has anything to do with your brother missing then you better do something about it. Don’t wait around for Kevin’s permission like some little errand boy…”

“I’m nobody’s errand boy,” I said interrupting him.

“Prove it, help me locate Mystica and bring Cain home...”

“You cannot be trusted,” I said stepping closer towards him.

“Do you really have choice right now? And don’t lie to me because I know I had to be your last option.”

“Why do you want to help someone you wanted to kill you three years ago?” I ask trying to feel him out.

“Because whether you believe it or not, I want to have my family back. Even if it means pissing off Kevin and killing Mystica…you boys mean more to me than any empire,”he said letting a tear fall.

“If you screw me old man, I swear nothing on earth would keep me from digging your grave and sending you straight to hell,” I said before turning and walking away.

Pulling out my cell phone, I texted the only person besides Anna that I could trust and told them to meet at the spot in twenty minutes.

Arriving at the spot early, I decided to call Anna.

“Hey baby.”

“Hey how are you and my babies doing?”

“We’re doing fine. Have you located Cain yet,” she asked.

“No not yet, but I’m hopeful.”

“Me too, but look I got to go but remember we agreed not to call Marilyn just yet.”

“Don’t you think she needs to know that the father of her kids is missing?”

“Yes, but we don’t want to stress her out either.
